Addition
Same signs:
1) Add absolute values
2) Keep the same sign
Different signs:
1) Subtract absolute values
2) Keep the sign of the larger absolute value
Subtraction
1) Change to addition (add the opposite)
Keep the first number the same...change subtraction to addition...change the second number to the opposite
2) Follow addition rules
Multiplication & Division
1) Multiply or divide the absolute values
2) Same signs = positive answer
Different signs = negative answer
